Research Development & Consultancy Cell

Creation of the Cell:

The Cell is established to promote and facilitate Research as well as Consultancy in Management and Computer Applications areas of the institution. The facility is to act as a synergist in creating Research and Development ambience and culture as an integral part of the functioning of each department and will be one of the chief drivers of future growth to transform itself as an institution of national repute.

Objectives:

  • To promote research in the field of management and computer applications
  • To coordinate with research centers for the development of research and development cell
  • To motivate faculty members and students for participation in conferences, seminars, training and development programs
  • To encourage the faculty members and students for presentations of their research work in conference/seminars

Selection procedures:

The faculty members and students offer their choice for acting as coordinators in the Research Development & Consultancy Cell. Based on the choice given by the faculty and students, the College Academic Committee in consultation with Heads of the Departments selects the coordinators.

Tenure:

The tenure of the selected coordinator and members is for one academic year.

The Research Development & Consultancy Cell has been reconstituted every year. For the academic year 2023-25, following members are appointed:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Information to the faculty eligible on different notification for admission into PhD
  • To organize workshops, seminars and tutorials in the campus for the benefit of faculty members and students in particular
  • Collection of information on National, International Conferences, Paper presentations and students events
  • Information to the faculty on paper presentations and events through circulars and display on notice board
  • Gathering information on faculty paper presentations, publications and conferences attended
  • To identify the research topics that may be helpful for the students to do Project work
  • Displaying information relevant to students through notice board from time to time
  • Maintenance of relevant records
